Update fixed assets previous depreciation

Hello, 

 

Is there a way to update a fixed asset previous years depreciations ?

 

We imported a list of fixed assets but there was an error in the previous years depreciations import.

 

So we went to know if it’s possible through an external file.

Hi @Abdessamad 

If you have not calculated depreciation for 2024 then you can change previous year depreciation value using 31/12/2023 as event date. If you already calculated for 2024 then you can rollback and continue.

 

See a sample below.

Find the object and see accumulated depreciation as of 31/12/2023

 

Go to change object value window and click Change Net Value

 

 

Voucher date can be this year, event and retroactive date must be 31/12/2023. You must enter negative value in order to increate depreciation.

 

 

Go to change net value progress window and create transactions.

 

 

Accumulated depreciation as of 31/12/2023 is increased.

 

 

See object transactions

 

 

See accounting transactions

 

If you check balance as of 29/02/2024 then you will see previous year depreciation is increased.

Is there a way to use ExcelAddin or External File to do that ? We have about 200 fixed assets to update.

Hello

There is an external file template but it is when you import first time the fixed assets. I am not aware of any external file or excel add-in to manage change object value functionality.
