As a company we are looking to automate our accounts payable function as much as possible and want to introduce a scanning tool.
I was wondering if anyone here has or is using any software for this process and what they use.

It depends on what kind of automation you’re looking to achieve. There are 3rd party tools which support an email address where the invoices are sent to by suppliers, from where the OCR is applied and checked by humans from where an XML file is created and sent to IFS to create the invoice (e.g. Pagero), but there are also other tools which support also other kinds of invoice scanning only digitally - e.g. Kofax (which used to be known as Readsoft).
I’m also aware of at least one customer using a tool called Inpute in the UK.
