This is to be used with Multi screen functionality. Imagine in one screen you have opened Resource screen and Activity screen in another. If you click on a task in Resource Gannt and press focus, Activity screen will automatically scroll down to the task you selected in Resource Gannt.

I tried to check, but it dint work. Is there any configuration changes required?
Additional to this: Do we have any button to focus on particular task, For example i have some important task which need more attention & when ever i open the screen that task should show in different colour or some pin point.

First you need to give permission for Multi screen function for user.
Then you need to open it through multi screen button.
Opening a new tab by copy pasting the URL won’t work.
For your 2nd requirement, there is no direct way but may be you can add an attention text and then use a filter (or even add a column to workspace with that attention text and then use find box to filter it).
