Someone did Create Cycle Count and filled in the fields but did it incorrectly. Once the person realized their mistake instead of Cancelling the Cycle Count report they created, they physically didn’t count any of the parts but they recorded the information as if they had. Now they want to cycle count the part(s) again, but the system is telling us in the Background job “No data found for entered search criteria. Count Report not created.” What do I need to do to get the parts that were physically not counted onto a count report again??

Thanks, Sheila

Hi Sheila,

From the information you have provided the error could have been caused by two reasons.

  1. The parts are already included in an active count report. You need to identify such report(s) and either process them or cancel them.
  2. The parameters you have entered when creating the Count Report does not qualify any part to be included in the report. Under ‘Advanced’ option there are number of parameter that can exclude the parts from the report. Specially the parameter ‘Exclude Parts Counted Since (Days)’. This is the number of days prior to the current date. Inventory parts included in a count report created prior to this date will not be included in the count report.
