Adding a picture as background at IFS Lobby

Hi all,

I’d like to add a custom picture in this lobbyelement:

The image is saved on the MV-Server, just like our logos for the company.
Do you have any idea, why this isn’t working?

Thanks in advance,

Lena

This issue was solved with our partner Flexicode.

We stored the image on an open sharepoint an no more on the MW. Then it worked.

Lena

Hello @HSELEWU

Honestly I’ve not done it before, and that’s why I asked you to “try”, at your risk. Maybe you can follow the below steps on your DEV (or similar none-critical installation). Please keep necessary backups in case if you have to reset.

  1. Extract the ifsweb-main.war
  2. Add the required images
  3. Archive it again to ifsweb-main.war
  4. Copy it to \wls_domain\<instance>\servers\MainServer1\stage\ifsweb-main’s latest created folder
  5. Log into the IFS Middleware Server Admin Console > Deployments, then try to stop and redeploy ifsweb-main web archive
  6. If it doesn’t help, restart the MWS (worst case, a reconfiguration).

Hope this helps,

Hello

You can either use a custom Image URL where the URL is accessible via the server machine. If not, try incorporating your company images into the ifsweb-main.war as the local images supported by lobbies are packed into it.

Build_home location: \server\apps\main\ifsweb-main.war\images\lobby\element\

On instance: \wls_domain\DEV10\servers\MainServer1\stage

Hi Manulak,
how can I add my picture to the ifsweb-main.war file on the instance?

Thanks!

Hi @HSELEWU

The image must be accessible to everyone. It is related to permissions. Give read permission to the folder where you stored images to everyone.

Hi @Manulak

what to do if we are in cloud?

And on which server do you upload the pictures?
