Can anyone explain why the following scenarios occur for Inter-Site orders?

Scenario 1

  1. An inter-site PO is created with 3 parts
  2. 2 of the 3 parts are delivered from the inter-site customer order so the order
  3. The 2 delivered parts are moved to Inventory Part in Internal Order Transit

Why are those 2 parts moved there instead of to the inventory location specified on the order?

Scenario 2

  1. An inter-site PO is created with 3 parts
  2. 2 of the parts have a To Location No specified; 1 of the parts does not
  3. All 3 parts are delivered from the inter-site customer order
  4. All 3 parts are moved to Inventory Part in Internal Order Transit

Why are all 3 of the parts moved there? Why aren’t the 2 parts with a To Location No moved to that specified location?

Inter-site parts always have to pass through the internal order transit area until they are received.  I just noticed your question on the other thread you had started a couple of months ago, so answered them there, but they are similar to this question.

Intersite orders don’t automatically move from the sending site to the receiving site, they still have to be received from the internal order transit area - that is just how it works.

Thank you for the response. Do you know if the parts will still be available on the mobile app to be received? And if so, is there an option to receive from internal order transit?

Thank you!

I don’t know the answer to either question, we haven’t done any receiving on the mobile client in the context of intersite transactions.
