We use App10 for Supply Chain, Shop Order and Finance and we run MRP every day.
What would happen if we turn of MRP?
How will that affect us?

Hi,
I think that we need a little more information about the way in which you plan the replenishment of your inventory parts, but essentially, for any parts that are currently planned by MRP, you will no longer receive any supply proposals or action messages which means that the production planners and procurement buyers won’t know which orders to place, reschedule, expedite, etc.
I hope this helps.
Hi,
Or do you want to run the MRP job less frequently?

Hi,
Thank you all for your feedback.
Why I'm asking is because we wondering of what it means to do the planning and run MRP in another system, but still handle the Shop Orders and Purchase Orders in IFS.

Anna
Well, there will be a quite big integration, and then a nice thing with MRP and IPAP is as you might know...
Typical scenario
In IPAP we see the exploded demand nicely.
This could be a challenge for an integration like this.
Also if your planners works with Action Messages from MRP, like for example Late- and Early Order messages, this might be a challenge.
Then of course you will have the challenge to incorporate new developments in “the other MRP engine”. (if you want) Like for example in 24r1 we have modified logic quite a bit for more advanced alternate component logic, incorporated remanufacturing structures etc etc.
Cheers
-Mats
