Is it possible to register a RMA for components of delivered products?

Often not the complete machine is returned, but only the component(s) that need investigation.

Hi, Yes of course. When you create the RMA for the CO line, RMA will have multiple lines for each Components. However, when the CO was delivered, you should have your components in the Package Part Structure.

Thanks, it is good to know that it works like that, but not really a solution as this would mean a lot of extra administration. Would be much easier if RMA would just allow any return as long as the part is known.

@Drausenhaus If you need the RMA to be connected with the order, then you will have to mention the components with the delivered order using the Package Structure.

But if you dont want to do that,  you can manually create an RMA. Then you can return the component to the inventory location.

OK, I have to test that one. Wasn't aware of that option.

Package structures create extra lines on the original order (with LINE_ITEM_NO not equal to zero), but manufactured structures don’t do this. All the IFS customers for which I’ve worked have wanted to do component-level RMAs for manufactured parts at some point.
