Hi All,

When using ‘Pick by Choice’ option, it allows you to pick any quantity, provided there is enough stock. This is fine when the ‘Qty to Pick’ is less that what's on the CO ‘Sales Quantity’. But, when the  ‘Qty to Pick’ is higher than what's on the CO ‘Sales Quantity’, this results in additional goods being delivered and thus invoiced to the customer which is quite a mess.

Is there a way to restrict this from happening?

At least a warning message saying that more quantity is being picked than what's mentioned on the CO would make the picker think twice. Isn’t it?

Any thoughts/ideas to cater this requirement?

Thanks,

Arunalu

hi @Arunalu

Why is the qty to pick larger than the CO sales quantity?

hi @Arunalu

Why is the qty to pick larger than the CO sales quantity?

Hi @paul harland ,

This is mainly due to user error. Since pick by choice is enabled, our pickers enter the quantity manually and more often results in picking more than whats on the CO sales quantity.

Any thoughts on how to restrict this from happening?

Thanks and regards,

Arunalu

Hi @Arunalu

I discussed this matter with RnD team as well. Actually customers are using this the flexibility given in this functionality as a benefit. Hence as of now, the application cannot restrict this.
But you can add a custom event as a solution for the issue you are facing so that users will be notified when they pick more qty than required.
