Move Items Reserved to Customer Orders

I would like to peg make-to-order line items on customer orders to the supplying shop orders.  When the shop order is closed and the item is reserved to the customer order line, though, the item cannot be moved in the warehouse.  I understand the argument that if a made-to-order item is ready and reserved, the next logical step is to create a pick list.  For various reasons, however, we do need to move these items.

Is it really not possible to move a reserved item?  Or are we missing something?

Using IFS app 9, update 10.

No, once reserved, the part is locked down.  You can’t move, you can’t cycle count, there are a few other restrictions.  If it needs moved, then it has to be unreserved, moved, then re-reserved.  The reservation is tied to a particular location record, not just the part.

Hi @brian.thompson ,

Just some further information for the future.   Starting with IFS Application 10 you would be able to move the reserved product if you set Move Reserved Stock to Allow at the site level.   If your company has plans to upgrade to IFS App 10 or above you would have the functionality.  We use it in our company.
