Hello Community,

I have a PO that has multiple lines on it. We have received several this year.

Today when trying to receive my Inventory staff received the following error messages:

“Field (LOT_BATCH_NO) is mandatory for Inventory Part in Stock and requires a value” followed by “A lot/batch number may not be entered for part”.

Any advice on how to correct so the lot number can be entered?

@Angie C how is your Lot-Batch tracking setup for the part? Normally if it’s Order Based, then the system will automatically put PO_No-PO_Line_PO_Item-ReceiptNo as your lot-batch.

 

Also it would be useful to provide a screenshot to see exactly at what step the error is thrown.

The Part Master does not have lot tracking on.

Hi @Angie C,

It seems that the lot tracking was previously used in the Part Master. Please, check if you already have records in Inventory Part in Stock with Lot Batch Number. If so, then you would need to remove them before the system is able to receive new parts with no lot-tracking. You can remove such records by issuing them, scrapping them or counting out. Then, cleanup of inventory will be needed to remove the existing record/s from inventory part in stock.
