Hello,

We are having a lot of active units of measure in our solution that we want do deactivate or hide for users when they are creating purchase orders.

When trying to do that the error message “The field lUsed in Application] is not valid for update for user defined codes.” appears.

Can we not get rid of these user defined codes?

Please advice,

Johan

Hi @NPGIFSJOMAII ,

I have checked the situation in the latest version of IFS Cloud and the behaviour is same as you have described. As the error message states users are not allowed to turn off the toggle ‘Used in Application’ for user defined codes.

You will be able to get ride of a code by deleting it. However, it is possible only if it has not been used anywhere in the system.

Furthermore, I have provided a link to documentation on user defined codes & base units for your reference: https://docs.ifs.com/ifsclouddocs/24r1/DefineSystemBasics/ProcessDefineUsedISOCodes.htm?StandAlone=true

Hello,

Thank you @KethakaG !

Unfortenately these are created long time ago and in the most cases used. So that means we will have to deal with units we dont want to use. And users will always be able to use wrong units.

Strange there is no possibility to hide them...

Kind regards,

Johan

Hi @NPGIFSJOMAII ,

Since the requirement to deactivate user defined codes is essential for your business, I suggest you to add it to Ideas section so that it’ll be considered in future updates.

Kethaka
