Hi All,

We are seeking a solution in IFS App10 based on industry best practice.

Situation: During year-end inventory counting, certian amount of customer owned stock has been counted out (complete lot-batch quantity). After sometimes, some stock has been discovered. So, we need to count-in those customer owned stock back to our inventory.
What is the best practice in IFS?

Hi Thieuban,

I believe the inventory that has now been discovered is not in system but available physically.

In this situation you might be thinking of using Count Per Inventory Part that enables you to Count Parts without using a Count Report. You can then process ad-hoc corrections to adjust the quantities. During this process the best practice will also be to work with finance closely as there might be inventory postings that needs to be coordinated depending on how inventory teams are allowed to perform such ad-hoc corrections.

Hi @ryandu ,

Thank you for the response. The point is, if we do ‘Count per Inventory Part’, system takes the inventory as ‘Company Owned’ stock. Our stock is ‘Customer Owned’ stock.  Also, as I mentioned that those customer owned stock’s lot batch’s balance quantity in system is ZERO.

This is the scenario, that we need to understand as how to do it?

Hi,

Unfortunately, you will have start start from orders and receive the goods back to the inventory. This order shall be a fictive order to get qty in stock.
