Hi All,

Need your kind advice. My organization is using IFS version 8

We are looking at changing below sales part no Sales UoM from Kg to MT (metric tonne). However, IFS show warning message as below. Can anyone help me to understand unit of measure logic and what is actually happen when we change the UoM?

You received this message because the system could not find a defined conversion factor to use to convert the Sales UoM to the Inventory UoM. You will need to manually enter the Inv Conv Fact and Price Conv Fact of 1000, i.e., the quantity of Inv UoM in one Sales UoM.

Hi MDEMIRZAIFS,
Im using IFS9.
sales part UoM could be changed..
when UoM is converted from Kg (kilograms) to T (tonnes) accordingly Inventory conversion factor and Price conversion factor changes from 1 to 0.001.
Better check the Unit of measure module that “MT” is defined as tonnes and factor is 1000.

Regards,
Sab.
