Hello,

We are looking for a way to track defective parts removed but not necessarily return back to defective-stock.

Either via MWO or directly in IFS, but without creating a stock transaction.

We are currently running Apps9, but within a short time frame going to Cloud instead, so question goes for both systems.

@KaneDK I think some more details would be needed here in order to understand you situation. How do you declare defective parts? Do you store them in a location with a specific Inventory Part Availability Control? Do you use condition codes?

Some more details on the process that you’re running to get to a defective part would be needed in order to be able to suggest some avenues for research/options.

Hi Marcel,

We don’t use Condition Codes (might change when we go to Cloud). For the time being, we create a “D-Item” and return those (not always physical).
The aim is to be able to “track” parts being removed (returned to stock or not).
We have a specific Warehouse location for defective parts that are returned.
