Hi, we are investigating the use of the Permit module in Apps 10 to manage some of our permit/application processes.

Does the Permits module have the ability to create authorisation approval and routing rules, similar to Purchase Requisitions?

e.g. we would want anyone to be able to apply for a permit, but only certain groups of users to be allowed to review and approve permits.

Some permits will have a different list of users it must escalate through e.g. based on Permit Type (e.g. an IT-related permit would need to go through the IT manager/CTO etc., whereas digging permits would need to go through engineers, maintenance managers and supervisors etc.).

You can use the Approval Routing functionality for any business object in IFS, but few trigger the approval process or enforce any steps to be approved before the main object can change state. This can be handled by custom events though.
