In IFS ServiceEng  App, it is possible to see historical work related to an object through Service Book functionality. Even though  this is an online capability it is possible to still see this information via cached data. 

 

Can you please explain, for how long this data will stay in the mobile app. As I experienced, session expiration will not remove this data from the app. Is there a general guideline on upto how long time this information will be available in the app. 

 

Customer expecting to work offline upto 7 days in some scenarios. Will the cache memory support this duration to see historical work?

Hi Nethmi,

I don’t think cached data expires in the client. Only thing is, cached data gets refreshed in the server in a predefined intervals so client gets the latest data if online. If the client is offline, it should have the cached data in the client until it goes online to fetch new data.
