We faced problem with long synchronization time. I switched on mobile cleanup processes but I see that some apps/devices are not removed. I have many entries like this:

Is it a normal behavior? I do not think so. Entry is Active and Last Access over year ago.

Hi,

What I can recall is that in Apps10 we do not have any automatic way to delete the devices that are disabled and that needs to be done manually.

In IFS Cloud we have done some changes to set a device to not active after x number of days , through a parameter, where you define x as how many days you want to wait until setting it to inactive. Furthermore we have also introduced a parameter that will set the device to disabled after it has been inactive for x number of days. None of those exist in apps10.

When it comes to long synchronization time in MWO, has that been solved or does that problem still exist?

There are a number of actions that needs to be done in order to see why you have long synchronization times, please read the Troubleshooting Touch Apps in the technical documentation.

Usually long synchronization time is casued by that a lot of data is synchronized to the device. Usually entity filters will help the reduce the data to be synchronized to the device.  There could be other reasons as well as bad perfroming SQL or an intorduction of a custom field with badly written sql.

If you still feel that you have slow synchronization, please raise a case to IFS, so some of the expert in IFS can have a look and give you some advice.

Regards

Johan

Hi @JOOLSE

There is no option to Delete App/Device on Active entries.

Which one part of IFS 10 documentation do You mean ragarding Troubleshooting Touch Apps?

Hi @JOOLSE

What I can recall is that in Apps10 we do not have any automatic way to delete the devices that are disabled and that needs to be done manually.

But in my example I mentioned about still Active devices with last access over 1 year ago. Disabled devices we can remove using RMB and Delete App/Device. So what about Active devices? I do not think that now there is a way to troubleshoot what happened year ago.

Furthermore we have also introduced a parameter that will set the device to disabled after it has been inactive for x number of days. None of those exist in apps10.

If You are talking about this KB article it does not help us. I have just checked patch content.

Thank You for documentation URL. We are going to create support ticket by the way.
