A user has asked if there is a way to connect a new work order (raised through the MWO app) to an Project Activity via the MWO app.

We occasionally have out of hours call outs to a site where we have an Project. The engineer will raise a work order on his device and the time will get booked to the work order accordingly. However, this office staff are unable to connect this work order to the relevant Project Activity the next morning (error message received).

Our only solution is to create a new work order from the office, connect it to the Project Activity and then transfer the time over. We would like to avoid this extra work if possible.

Not as a standard function. I’m assuming you’re not on Apps 10 as you mention work orders, otherwise Technician Portals could be a possibility for some configuration here, as long as your engineers generally have connectivity (offline might work with some creative config as well, but might run into timing issues)

@anmise is there any solution for this topic in IFS Cloud?

IFS Work Order transactions exist, the project connection is not possible to be made as a “backoffice” task. Therefore project connection should be made as soon as the technician creates a service request by using technician portal or MWO app.
