Hi,

 

From workflow configuration, there is a possibility to decide whether to keep or return the assignment automatically up on completion.

 

However, this is not possible for incomplete action, where it always requires to return manually. However, this is an additional action for Mobile users. Therefore we would like to have the same ability to return the assignments automatically.

 

We have tried to do this from page designer configurations as well, but it is not possible. Can you please explain us if there is already a way to return assignments Automatically when incompleting?

Incomplete is more of an exceptional flow with specific functions like create new assignment, assign to someone else, etc upon incomplete. So in the core solution, incomplete assignments are not auto returnable. I think a customization might be needed to achieve this.

Thanks for your explanation. 

However, from the mobile user point of view, whether the user will complete /incomplete the assignment the work that needs to be done for the specific work assignment is over. Then the users should have the ability to handle the both scenarios in the same way. Otherwise it is an inconsistency in the app. 

Do you think if it is okay to report a case, so that we can discuss this in detail`?

It is ok to report a ticket. However this is not a bug in the system, rather an enhancement. Please elaborate the use case in the ticket. Based on the investigations, we need to decide if it can be handled in support or not.
