It is a dilemma for us for those objects that are returned from customer for repair. current our process is
- use RMA to return the product from customer. the object ownership is set to Company Owned after RMA is completed.
- Working on a work order to have the product repaired (replace components) and received into stock.
- Repaired object(product) is showing company owned and in inventory position.
now the comes the problem, how to set the object location to customer location without doing a customer order?
I believe we are not doing the right way from the very beginning. when customer return for service, it should not go with RMA? if a service request is created against a customer order line, does a work order will trigger purchase order to bring the object to our company with ownership Customer Owned?
