Is there a way to create a communication among technicians who work in a same task but different assignments in IFS MWO? As an example, if I need to send a message or put a comment about my work to the next technician. I can see status of other assignments. But, I’m searching for a method to convey bit detail message.

Hi,

You should be able to see the contact details of the other assignees in the contact widget in Assignments page in MWO. If the Microsoft Teams has been configured to be used within MWO, assignees should even be able to use Teams for the communication purposes.

If the Request Management solution is used, the mobile user should be able to see the others working on the same request scope in the Task Contacts action.

Thanks

Sampath

It would need to be an entity that is associated with the task, not the assignment. How about a Task Event with details in the Note field?

Hi Alexander,

I will look into this and get back to you?

Hi Alexander,

I can add notes in Add Assignment Event and see it in Assignment Events. But, after I adding a note via Add Task Event, I cannot see it in Task Events.

It takes some time to load when I click Task Events command and finally below message appears.

When I pressed OK the message disappears and no updated event.

Do you have any idea..?

I do not get the error message, but I also do not see a newly created event (on 24.1.3 and the latest MWO). Have filed tickets.

You may want to clear the MWO log, reproduce the error, and create a separate ticket including the saved log.

Hi Alexander,

What is the impact of clearing log? Do we need to keep backup always?

Thanks.

It’s a backup of your local MWO log only. You don’t need to clear it, but it could be that your error message appears somewhere in a 100MB log file… ;-)
