I know that the JDBC database connection can be changed in the MWS Admin console to switch ro another database. So, it follows that we could change the protocol from TCP to TCPS.The question is: Since TCP is automatically placed in the database connection string, will IFS support the TCPS protocol, or is that configured somewhere in the Oracle database?
We have users who are intermittently getting “500” errors when they are trying to log into the IFS IEE application. Users initially get disconnected from the application before these errors occur. 99% of the time, this clears itself up after 10-15 minutes. On rare occasions, we have to restart the IFS Middleware Server.Users bring up the IFS Web Page and select the IEE link. The error can occur after entering their login credentials, or in some cases, even before the login screen appears. This is happening in both our production and QA environments. We have recently upgrade to App10 UPD15 from UPD5, but this issue has been happening before the upgrade. This is disrupting our users’ ability to process orders, shipping, and receiving.
We recently upgraded our production IFS from App10 UPD5 to UPD15. When users are processing Customer Orders, they are receiving the following error message (this is not occuring in our QA or Development environments):Message in Print ManagerGENREPORTIO:Could not generate report: 'TRANS_CONF_ERROR:Failed transforming report data : 'JAXP0801002: the compiler encountered an XPath expression containing '611' operators that exceeds the '100' limit set by 'FEATURE_SECURE_PROCESSING'.''
We are going to be running App10 in a few months on Windows 2012 server. We currently run App8 SP1+ and have with the following VMWare virtual server specs: RAM: 32GB O/S: 64-bit (Windows 2012 R2 Standard) CPU: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2680 v2 @ 2.80GHz 2.80 GHz (8 virtual processors) We worked with IFS in completing the Upgrade Kit Infrastructure Sizing Questionaire and provided the above specs. I have read posts that indicate App10 uses a lot more memory. The client we work with is trying to save costs by downsizing the RAM and CPUs on VMWare virtual machines. I don’t think we should be messing with this, but I don’t have anything definitive to argue the point. Any feedback from other App10 admins/users would be appreciated.
We are starting an IFS upgrade and will need an SSL Certificate. Are there tools available in IFS for creating a certificate request?
We are running Apps8 Sp1+. About every 9 months or so, our client user PCs receive Microsoft Office updates that put the file “msoshext.dll” back on the workstation. This is an Office DLL that corrupts the operation of IFS browsing within the Doc Management browser. We usually end up renaming the DLL so it doesn’t interfere and all works well again. Has IFS ever addressed this issue?
