Our serial traced parts are currently set-up as not ‘in inventory traced’. We want to change this setting to ‘in inventory traced’. In order to do so we need to identify all serial numbers. Is there a possibility to create a WaDaCo configuration which can be used to identify serial numbers of a specific part on a specific location? We were thinking of something like this:Scan location Scan GS1 barcode (including part no & serial no) Scan next GS1 barcode Etc. etc. Finish identification session Result: parts are identified in ‘inventory parts in stock’. Kind regards, Bart
We see no impact on the ‘shop order finish date’ in case of a reconfirmation of an external operation (say the confirmed lead time is 2 months, where the pre-filled purchase lead time is 1 month). Is there a setting/ possibility to see the impact of a reconfirmation on the the ‘shop order finish date’? Kind regards, Bart
All our inventory is project specific and planning is accordingly done via project MRP. The ‘run project MRP’ functionality does not have the option to plan with alternate components (where MRP does). In the following topic there is mentioned due to which reasons IFS has made this choice:'Plan alternate component' in PMRP | IFS Community In case of an engineering change we would like to use up the left-over stock of the ‘phased out’ part before switching to the new ‘phased in’ part. Are there system settings or is there a way of working which can be used to simulate the ‘plan with alternate component’ functionality? Where:The ‘phased out’ part’s stock is used up before switching to the ‘phased in’ part The ‘phased in’ part is ordered in time The alternative can still be used in case multiple engineering changes are in place
We are currently facing challenges with counting part serials which are serial traced 'at receipt and issue' & 'not in inventory'. These type of parts have a stock record in the ‘inventory parts in stock’ view consisting of a line which states a ‘*’ in the serial number column. When creating a count report consisting of a serial traced part ('at receipt and issue' & 'not in inventory'), WaDaco asks us to scan a ‘*’ for the serial no. field. Where we make use of a barcode label with a GS1 code consisting of an identifier for a serial no. The first error is that the scanner gives an error for a faulty scanned serial no's where the part's real serial no. is scanned through the GS1 code and not an ‘*’. The second thing is that in case we have a counting difference, we need to state which serial no's are missing. Since we do not know which serial no.'s are in stock, we cannot state which ones are missing. Does anyone have a solution/ WoW for the above case? How do we need to set up
