I have been using the Sales and Operations Model for nearly year and would like to know exactly how the Set Up Resource Consumption works. Currently we have copied it from the manufacturing routing which assumes that, for each product changeover, we need 0.5 hours to set up.My question is - how does the resource routing and S&OP know how many product changeover we need? Do I need to increase the consumption in the resource routing to account for this? and would that be to the average number of changeovers (say 30x0.5) per month? I am assuming the phase and out dates are important here also.
Each month, when we create a new period version for each of our product families in Sales and Operations Planning the Old forecast and the New forecast column always match each other instead of the old forecast column pulling through data from the most recent period version… this doesn’t seem right and its a pretty useless column due to this, what could I be doing wrong? How do I correct this? It's worth noting that every new month we have to close the previous period version as it won’t let us create a new one if there is an existing one at ‘Approved’ Status…. this is also frustrating as we would like to be able to compare them. I have also seen that you can RMB in the header and copy from an old version BUT as soon as you copy in a new forecast/supply it overwrites this data - is this a bug?
HelloWe are trying to run RRP for more than 60 weeks (periods) but it will only return 60 periods of data. The parameters we need are 66 weeks of data. I have checked the calendars related to each of the period templates for each site are extended past the end requirement, same with the period template themselves. Planning Units in weeks also extend into the future past the required date. Is there a maximum number of periods we can see in RRP? Is there any way to increase the number? Thankyou
Is it possible to capacity plan MS supply?
