We have a huge amount of dependencies on our projects, instead of expanding all we would like to expand only to next level => sub projects, and if needed expand from there to activities. Or if possible we would like to choose the activity level connections that we want to see, like shop orders or purchase orders.
We are using Cloud 22R1.4

If I’ve understood your question correctly, you can try out the below to see if it suffices your requirement.
You can use the arrowhead-like icons right before the project, sub-project and activity names to expand your individual requirements rather than performing ‘Expand’ which expands the entire WBS.
And if you enable (tick) the relevant project connections you want to display from the Legend, those connections will be displayed in the Gantt.
