I am wondering if there is an ability to split an existing lot number into two lot numbers?
So example would be that we have a part that is 25 linear meters in length, lot number 123. I now want to create a new lot number 234 for 10 linear meters whilst reducing 123 to 15.
Is there a transaction or method to achieve this in IFS?

we do have an option to split the lot in shop order and this you can use while manufacturing product, but I presume here you already have a stock in inventory. So one option would be to count out the 10 linear meter and count in with the new lot/batch no.
There will be count in & count out transaction triggered for this process and you can also see this info in lot/batch history.
