When I compare APP9 and APP10 there is a difference in shop order picklist. This is good. However, there are customers who use summary report which is not available in APP10. This is important for customer who use same part in product structures multiple times and they can consolidate. 

Also Line Item number not exist in the detail report. 

Behavior in APP9:

Report consists of 03 pages.

  1. Cover Page
  2. Detail Page
  3. Summary Page (This is not available in APP10)

In apps 9 there where multiple version of shop order pick list available. These where consolidated into one version for apps 10 that includes the most used features. The summary section was used by very few customers as of our experience.

The default layout of the pick list in apps 10 only contains part of all data that is available in the XML file. If we would have included all in the default layout it would have just fit maybe 2 pick list lines per page… So Line Item No is available in the XML to make visible in the configured layout for the customer.

 


Currently I am also working for a customer that just upgraded from IFS Apps 8 to 10. This customer is also missing the consolidation of component parts in the picklist for just 1 SO…..  :-(….. So the conclusion all versions/scenario’s are merged into one version is not correct.
