Hello together,

I just dealt with the “rescource share per part” in the routing and asked myself, how the calculation works there. The help says the following:

“When 0,1 is insert, and the lot size is 5, it means that the operation will take 50% of its resouce capacity during operation.”

I can not really see how this calculation works. Can anybody explain me or draw one two examples? Thank you in advance!

Regards Markus

A Resource Share per Unit = 0,1 would indicate that producing 1 unit (piece?) of the part would utilize 10% of the resource capacity during the duration of the operation. Hence, you can fit another 9 units in the resource at the same time.

If you create a shop order to produce 5 units, the operation will get a resource share of 0,5 or 50% of the resource capacity during the operation duration. So, you will probably be able to plan some other shop order operation to go into the resource at the same time. For this you can use Operation Blocks.
