for a project delivery, we copied the engineering structure in Project Product window, item status is Defined. Used in Structure checkbox is checked. MPL is updated.
after some time, we realized that one item should be removed from the structure, but looks like system refuse to do so. kindly advise how to remove this item from the structure. screenshots attached. we are trying to use “Delete” from the menu, then we get this error message.

At first, I was thinking that del was more efficient, since it would go directly to the index and delete the item. But, as you said, the use of list.index() means that the list will be parsed (is it the right terminology ?) anyway.

Since this item is connected to the structure you cannot directly remove it like that. RMB on the line > select “Delete Branch”. This will remove the item from the structure and afterwards you can delete it.
But of course, if you have issued material for this item or it is connected to an order of a parent then you might get some validation errors preventing this action. Please try the above steps first.
