Hello,

 

How do you make another structure the default one? Is the only way marking is as “*”?

How can we phase out the *Alternate?

Alternate * is always the default. Phase In and Phase Out dates are not controlled by the Alternate itself but the Part Revision. So if you want to phase in a new alternate from a certain date you must create a new revision.
