I have a lot controlled manufactured part, and it has been used for a while. in Lot Master, I can see lots of lot history on it.
Now i want to make this part serial controlled. seems like i cannot disable lot controlled, and enable serial controlled. though i have no inventory in stock, and it has not on any orders now.
my question is , how to make it happen, is it possible?

I don't know which version of IFS you are using, but I know it is possible to switch to not lot tracking from lot tracking and enabling serial tracking in APP 10. You receive couple of information messages when you switch the tracking and you need to click option Yes. You can preform this through master part screen.
Please be mindful it is not possible to reverse the issues already done on parts after switching the tracking
