Hello, I was wondering in Apps. 10, if there is any way to put an horizon on the MRP calculations. Or is it for all time like Apps. 9?
I know that in Master Schedule you can define a planning horizon. Can you do something similar for MRP?

Hi,
MRP Horizon has just been added to 22R1. The idea with this functionality is to reduce execution time. This can be useful if you for example have a long forecast horizon and use Master Scheduling (MS) for your products. In MS you will have master production schedule receipts for the entire horizon. And then if you have quite large number of MS Planned parts….
When you kick of the MRP engine it will use all the master scheduling receipts through the entire horizon, and this will of course have a rippling effect when exploding all those numbers through the Bill Of Material.
This has been added to PMRP as well.
