Hello,

maybe someone can help me to understand:

  • In Inventory part in stock the available quantity of the part let’s say is 10.
  • I registered MRB case for that Inventory part in stock record: MRB case quantity is 2.

MRB case is in progress.

Do MRB part quantity should somehow influence the available quantity of the part - to make it less, because some parts are under MRB?

I see that MRB is not influencing the available part quantity.

Is it correct that part quantity under MRB doesn’t influence part available quantity?

I can select Availability control ID - Not Available, but it will make not available all quantity. But only 2 pieces are under the MRB.

Could you explain what is the reason to register MRB for the part in stock if it doesn’t influence the part availability for MRB quantity? Or maybe I am doing something wrong in MRB case, that available part quantity is not changing?

Hi,

Is your available stock on the location all from the same lot batch?

As far as I understand it, you cannot have stock from the same lot batch on the same location with different availability controls. So I think, when you raise an MRB case even for a partial quantity, it would apply the availability control to the whole lot batch on that same location.

At my company, when we need to raise an MRB case for a partial lot batch quantity, we move the affected stock to a different location before raising the MRB case. That way, the MRB quantity is quarantined and the remaining good stock is not affected by the availability control.

Hope that helps!

Steph.

hank you very much for the replay.

We are also thinking about moving such quantity to the different location, because it seems the best way of dealing with such cases.
