Do any IFS users, operating in an electronics product manufacturing environment, effectively utilise IFS to facilitate batch traceability of their manufactured products?

I would like to explore ways to achieve this and would be greatful if any current users would be willing to share their experiences / ideas….

@dhill12 IFS has the Lot batch tracking or Serial tracking, which you can use in Manufacturing? Even you can go to multilevel tracking if you want.

Hi @AanHGTS how we can use the mutilevel tracking in shop orders.

In what way it will be useful..

Hi dhill12,

We use Lot Tracking for all our electronic components in SMT so we can batch track reels of parts to PCBA’s.

We also use it in assembly, and my only advice would be that if you choose to use this functionality you have to have processes in place to make sure you are actually consuming in IFS what you are consuming on the Shop Floor. The physical must match IFS otherwise there is not much point in using it.

So the labelling/movement of parts and the issuing of parts to Shop Orders needs to be in sync.

Cheers,

Wade
