Hi, We are running APPS10 UPD9. Want to implement Kanban and have never used it before.
Have been able to create circuits and do replenishments. My question is, can you look at a forecast for 3 months out to help resize your Kanban?
If so, what are the steps. Any help would be appreciated.
When calculating the Number of Kanbans, or Qty per Kanban the logic will use the Demand Qty value. This you can select to retrieve the demand from different sources, or to manually enter it. If you select MS/MRP the demand will be fetched from any found MRP or MS demand, so if you have a forecast and calculated a Master Production Schedule in MS for the part you can use this as the demand source. Note, however that you should set Proposal Release to Do Not Release in Inventory Part/Planning Data to avoid creating supplies both by MS/MRP and Kanban.
