Hello,
I need an explanation about the Master Scheduling.
I have different results between views:

Register forecast - On the date of 20/11/2023 - Qty 6 Master Schedule

Supply and demand - On the date of 20/11/2023 - Qty 8 Shop Ord Req

Inventory Part Availability planning - On the date of 20/11/2023 - Qty 8 Shop Ord Req

The MRP has been running since the last master schedule update.

And no data is entered in Rate by Period.

Thanks

Hi Bastien,

I sure looks strange.

Within Planning Time Fence the fixed master schedule is not removed and recreated when MS Level 1 job is executed. So the problem has probably been there for a while. Please check Sub MS Receipt tab at 20/11/23. It is from the Sub MS Receipt tab that the shop order requisitions are generated from. Do you have 8pcs (in total) here instead of 6pcs?

Can you see this problem outside Planning Time Fence?

And outside PTF, projected balance should not go lower than the Safety Stock of 11.

Potentially there could be a bug here… we will see

Cheers,

Mats

I have this problem outside “Planning Time Fence”. And the Quantity is differnet between the 2 views (“register forecast” and “SUB MS Receipts”.

Other exemple

“Register Forecast”

“Sub MS Receipts”

“Inventory Part Availability Planning”

Is it possible that  the uilization of “max lot size” makes calculations too complex ?

Hi again,

Does the customer have customization's in this area? I see a column Msn in the Register Forecast tab. We don’t have that column in Core. I really think the Projected Balance looks really strange in your second example. You have no Safety Stock, but still system tries to keep a projected balance of about 14 pcs! Do you use time phased safety stock? Do you use any Inventory Part Planning scrap factor?

When I tested today in latest Core, using same min-, max and multiple lot size, it worked fine.

Hi. In the second exemple

No time phased safety stock

No inventory part planning scrap factor

Only Rate By Period
