Is there a page with definitions of the MRP Messages?  There are so many of them and I need to be able to explain to my purchasing team what each one means.  Help!

You can use this page in your online documentation.

Hi there,

Just a sidekick to above. At RnD we have in later releases tried to highlight the most useful MRP Action Messages so that they show up at the top in search dialog like below:

Of course, some planners/buyers may think others are more important.

I am always happy when users dive into this. You should not have the feeling like you are drowning in MRP messages, you should understand them, and try do develop a strategy to deal with them.

Cheers,

Mats

@majose  - A sidekick for you as we are kicking off a new wave of implementation at our company...we will have to go even further than saved searches and do some significant configuration both as far as page and message unification because Master Scheduling and MRP action proposals are not actionable from a ‘single pane of glass’.

Please consider in future R&D, that there are businesses that do not want MS and MRP to be as separate as they are today in IFS. There do exist business situations where a separate MS layer is not required, and due to IFS design, one person is required to manage parts in both MS and MRP due to forecast consumption being solely tied to MS.
