Can someone please provide a guideline on how to assign custom field to base profile so all users could see it as default?

This will then load up the base profile. You can then navigate to the screen(s) and add the required custom fields. Please note though. If the user has modified the page(s) within their personal profile the amendments to the base wont pull through automatically. They will either need to reset their layout or amend their layout themselves(only if they have permission) If not you will need to edit their personal profile for them,
+11Just another note, make sure you save the Profile after amendments,
