Employees in Labor Class using HR Schedule

IFS Cloud:
When in HR Schedule there is any change on the availability of the employee belonging to a specific labor class (and the Employee has the check box “Use HR Schedule” enabled”, we can clearly see on the Visual CRP, the result of what has been done in HR Schedule (the availability for that specific labor class is reduced by one day if we have defined a day of vacation for the employee in the HR Schedule), but the work center that is allocated to the operation that cannot be performed by that employee is still loaded. What to do in such case? How to align the work center workload in case when we have only that employee who can perform that job? Is it possible to manually reduce the capacity of the work center? Seems not….seems that the only way is represented by the creation of a calendar and a schedule per each one of the different work centers.
Is there anyone who could give me some hint? :)
Thx a lot in advance

When using the normal (infinite) shop order scheduling logic, the scheduling is based solely on the work center calendar, so even if the labor class does not have any capacity on a certain day on which the work center has capacity, the operation can be scheduled on that day.

One way is to identify such situation using the visual planning charts, and manually reschedule the operation to a day when labor capacity is available.

If you want to more hard prevent the operation from being scheduled this date you must adjust the work center capacity to 0 on this date as well. That can be done by entering a deviation day in the work center calendar. This would force you to have one calendar per work center, but since they can share the same schedule I believe that is quite doable and give you a great flexibility of adjusting capacities.

You can however also directly adjust the availability of the resource(s) on the work center making it unavailable on the day when you do not want any operations to be scheduled. This can be done without having a unique calendar for the work center.

In below example no operations will be scheduled on the 14th: note that you must reschedule shop orders after changing the availability period for it to take effect. You can reschedule all shop orders for a specific work center.
