We have a customer order line demand for a phantom part but can’t work out how we fulfill the demand.  Does anyone have a suggestion on how we can get around this?

If it is a phantom ‘P’ part, and it is not yet available in stock to be reserved to the demand

  • You can set the Supply Code on the order line to Shop Order to generate a pegged shop order at customer order release. MRP will not generate a supply for a P part with a supply code of Invent Order.
  • You should be able to manually create a shop order for the P part and possibly peg it to the order line or manually reserve it after shop order receipt.

If it is a phantom ‘K’ part there is no method to supply the demand as this part cannot be manufactured or in stock.
