in floor stock, we have an expensive part in our Bipolar Plate Production , financial would like to track this part not only the material cost, but also the time spent in the shop floor. 

my first thought is to create an operation without material, milestone, user report the hours on this operation, then financial cost this hours accordingly (labor class or W/C).

would that be possible? any other good solution to handle this?
