Hello together,

I am in the Scope Tool by 10.6.4.1 “Receive Shop Order”. Does anybody know what is meant by “Add component to shop order tracked structure”, “salvage part”, “Serviceability Tag” and “Select Input Unit of measurement and Enter parameter”. Thank you in advance!

  • Add component to shop order tracked structure - This is when you manufacture a multilevel tracked product and have say serialized components. Then you must assign the reserved/issued component serial to the correct parent serial (to create the correct as-built structure once received). A site setting controls whether system make these assignments automatically, or if you want to do it manually using this activity
  • salvage part - When using a multilevel repair shop order you can point out a component in the parent’s as-built structure and remove or replace it. The removed component can then be received back to stock as a salvage part from the shop order
  • Select Input Unit of measurement and Enter parameter - You can connect an Input UoM Group to an inventory part, then in certain flow including when you report an operation or receive a shop order you can input the quantity using another UoM which is then converted into the inventory UoM using the defined conversion factor

I don’t have any insights in Serviceability Tag
