Hello,

I created organization structure and position structure.  Then I was setting up new employees.  I tried to assign the organization and position to the new employee, however, the field do not allow a search the newly created organization or position.

Sometimes when things like this happen, you can just type in the value but that is not working in this case.  Below is the structure created.

Just for a sanity check, I looked at the table that the find function queries.

The values are obviously there.  Why is this not working?

Thanks,

@ddecker : Please Grant HR Application Manager access into ‘Supervisor Access’ window, then you should be able to assign the organization assignment

Thanks

Hi @ddecker ,

This issue comes when there is no access rights for the logging user. You need proper access to create employees and assigning these organization and positions. If you log into the system as application owner , you will be able to create these employees without any issue.

If not, as mentioned above, your user should have HR application manager access. But, that access can only be granted using another higher user having HR application rights.

Hi @vickyrohilya and @Lasanthi Jinadasa,

Granting HR App owner did work.  If a user does not have HR App owner, what attribute needs to be set to allow organization and position assignments?  I suspect its under organization in the Access Attribute window, but I am not sure.

Thanks,

@ddecker : If user is not HR App owner, then user should have valid position, and that position should have access to highest position. It needs to be set-up through Position Access Set-up.

Include Access to Position Holder and Include Access to Lower Positions flag should be ticked. It will generate the access results which will be displayed into ‘Access Results’ tab.
