In order to create a recurrent absence for an employee, it is possible to create an Employee Deviation Cycle in IFS standard.
In the following example, the employee is absent every friday for “time credit”.

The absence results are generated in the time card, but the system still expect job hours booking.

But if the employee is absent, he shall not be expected to book any job hours.

Thank you for your help!

Hi,

Could it be that the absence wage code has parameters set so that it is converted to normal time?

Check “Absence wage code parameters”

Maria

Hi Maria, Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately the absence wage code parameter is not set to converted to normal time. I have reported the case to IFS, they are looking into it.

For information, IFS identified the issue and will release a fix.

“As per the findings, the root cause has been identified as "Not all registration modes were considered when absence is registered and when generating normal hours for deviation days".

Therefore RnD has planned to provide the solution for this in the next upcoming versions of 23R1 SU14, 23R2 SU7, 24R1 SU1 and 24R2 EA. Since the next Service Update of 23R1 SU14 is scheduled to be released on 20th June 2024, I will keep this ticket on hold until then.”
