Can we assign an absence on a Rest schedule day or NO Schedule day please suggest

What do you actually mean by assign an absence in this context?

I tried applying a 2 day absence with the time as well 

 

But Still i cant see my working hours it was appearing like - 0 hours and in Time Card it was showing as Day off

 

 

Can anyone suggest where i missed
