Hi IFS-Community!
An IFS-Consultant told me once, that the usage of the flexible break rule in daytypes
requires the “Move Day type to the First Clock In” in Flexible Work Time setup.
Is this correct? And if yes - why?

Hi,
In according to the picture, your day type is defined from 07:00 - 15:12, and Flexible work time is between 00:00 to 23:59. In order to calculate the number of FLEX pauses, you will need to count from the first clock in. E.g. clocking in from 05:00, and take 2 hours break, then the day type clocks in at 07:00, and Flex break will start counting from that moment, not from the actual clock in at 05:00. By moving the day type to 05:00 you can count all the Flex breaks.
Hi,
I would say no… I can see you have a day flex rule connected to your day type. If you set “Move Day type to the First Clock In” you will not be able to use any flex time functionality.

Maria
