hi @mess1153
Did you refresh the cache after giving the correct permission to the user. You may do this activity from the refresh cache window. It's a background activity so you may run it anytime but we recommend running it during an off-peak time.
Hi @mess1153,
Mostly this is derived based on the settings in application rather than permission sets.
As per standard IFS Application ability to see the list of employees depends on position access provided. That means an employee in a higher position (supervisor) is able to see employees underneath his or her position (subordinates).
This can be overridden by the access attributes granted to the supervisor.
To drill down the issue have you provided HR Application Manager rights (check box) in Supervisor Access Set-up window for the employee you are referring to?
Thank you and best regards,
Dhananga
Hi Michael,
In IFS HR, you have to define the correct supervisor access rights to see the employees. That has to be defined using the application.
There are several ways to grant access.
- Position access
- Supervisor access
- HR Application manager access.
If you set the logging user as HR application manager in Supervisor access set up, that user will get access to all the employees in the companies that user has access. Normally, this will not be granted for all users.
The best way to grant access to the relevant organization or business unit through the Access Role in supervisor access set up.
If you have already defined position access, you can grant access through position instead of the Access Role in supervisor access.
Hope this provides some idea.
Best Regards,
Lasanthi
It was the HR application manager check box in the supervisor screen. Thanks!
