Hello all,

In Shop floor employees we have set Allow Attendance Auto Clock In to Yes

It works in Shop Floor Workbench : an Employee interval is automatically created when starting the first operation of the day

But it doesn’t work in TimeClock : we’ve got an error message The employee has not registered an attendance IN clocking

Did we miss something ? specific setup for Timeclock ?

Thanks in advance for your help

As documented, this parameter only applies when starting work from Shop Floor Workbench. From time Clock you already have the possibility to add a button for clocking in.

Hi Björn,

Thank you for your quick answer.

Indeed we could add a button in Time Clock but the need is to have an automatic IN clocking as we do in V8, to reduce the operators actions on Time Clock.

If it’s possible in V8 but not in V Cloud, we consider it a regression.

Like to piggyback off @jptardif’s question - why does this create an interval clocking rather than an Employee “In” clocking (on Employee Clockings screen)?  Seems counterintuitive since the documentation specifically calls out that it will create an “attendance in” clocking (not open an interval). Seems like it would be more logical to create that in punch automatically, which would solve @jptardif’s issue… and which could result in an open interval calculation depending on settings.

Appreciate any perspective you can offer up, as we’re running into a somewhat related issue due to the way we’re importing data from our Timekeeping system of record (ADP) to try and drive comparitive metrics.

@adixon Unfortunately I’m not very knowledgeable in the Time and Attendance module in IFS. But maybe you can add this as a request in the Idea section of the community?
