Incoming customer order release

Hello all,

we would like to process EDI ORDERS from a customer group automatically.

The corresponding settings have been made in the customer master data.

 

However, the requirement is that customer orders where the 'Wanted Delivery Date' in the 'Incoming Customer Order' differs from that in the 'Customer Order', i.e. where the delivery date has been postponed, are not automatically released.


Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Could you please clarify this a bit more?. Wanted Delivery Date in Incoming Customer Order is the value that will be taken and inserted in the created Customer Order. When is this change of date triggered?

Hi Pilar,

the complete process is automated.

The change of the date is triggered during availability check when the customer order is created.
There are no partial deliveries allowed for this customer group.
The delivery date is therefore postponed depending on availability

Hi Josef,

Now I understand. But I don’t think you can avoid the customer order to be released automatically if the configuration is set as ‘Automatically’. I would rather set this parameter ‘Release Incoming Customer Order’ to Manual and then implement a custom event to release the order after it’s created, if the conditions are met.

This is a quite specific business case that probably must be then handled with customized configuration (custom event).
